AMOEBIASIS

• Amoebiasis is an infectious disease caused by parasitic one


celled microorganism protozoan called Entamoeba
histolytica.
• Amoebiasis is also known as amebic dysentery is on of the
common parasitic diseases occurring in humans.
SIGN AND SYMPTOM.

• fever.
• Abdominal pain or cramps
• Diarrhea or watery stool
• Fatigue
• Pain and tenderness in the area of the liver .
• Weight loss
DIAGNOSTIC

• Blood test
• Stool examination
RISK FACTOR

• Poor sanitation.
• Drinking contaminated water.
• Eating unhygienic food or street food.
FOOD TO AVOID

• Spicy food that can irritate the stomach


• Fatty or oily food
• Avoid acidic drink or caffeinated drink
PREVENTION

• Hand washing
• Boil the water before drinking if it’s tap water.
• Avoid street food.
• Always wash the vegetables and fruits before eating.
• Cleaning of surrounding .
TREATMENT.

• Consult a doctor
• Increase fluid intake
• Oral rehydration
• Metronidazole thru iv push if confine.
NURSING MANAGEMENT

• Health teaching
• Proper collection of stool
• Cleanliness
• Observe patient
• On time medication
