THE EIFFEL TOWER

The Eiffel Tower was inaugurated in 1889, the year in which the
first centenary of the French Revolution was celebrated.

It is considered a symbol of the

industrial and technological progress
of France in those years.
 ESTHETIC
From the aesthetic point of view, the Eiffel Tower broke with the idea that
beautiful buildings should be made of stone.

This was achieved by totally

stripping the structure and converting it into the
main element of contemplation. Now the structure would not only be functional
but aesthetic.

CHARACTERISTICS

The tower is located on a quadrangular base with four enclave

pillars, which in turn are supported by eight hydraulic jacks each.
