• Evolution
Internet actually was found in 1960 and was further developed into the WWW
(World Wide Web) in 1991.Later on it continued to grow rapidly till date.
• What is Internet ?
Internet is network of networks that connect millions of users over the word to
share lots of things, from useful data and news to funny videos and memes.
Social Networking
• With social networking sites, you can easily get
in touch with family and friends. Simply add
them on Facebook and you’re ready to chat!
• You can chat to someone halfway across the
world through instant messaging, email and
Skype calls with a click of the button. You can
even share photos, videos and music.
e-Learning
• The internet has opened up a whole new world of
possibilities in regards to information sharing.
Before the World Wide Web students had to go to
library’s to do their research. Nowadays you have
all the information at your fingertips. Also aids one
with online tutorials,expert lectures,free e-
books,correspondence courses and various
entrance guides.
Online Shopping
• Now the whole world is your personal
shopping mall! You can buy Chanel dresses
from France and Gaming PCs from China in the
same shopping spree.
• Some of the most used shopping sites online
are:

2. eBay
3. AliExpress
Online Job Search
• Back in the old days, the only way to find a job was
through recruitment agencies and the local paper.
Now all of your job searching can be done online.
• The most known service that offers businesses the
chance to employ workers from the web is LinkedIn.
• You also can work from home and have online
meetings with your colleagues from other parts of
the world using video chatting.
Memes
• A meme is a way of describing cultural information.
• One idea is that culture develops in a way similar to living things. An example
would be how viruses spread to different organisms. Memes change as they go,
creating controversy, and sculpting society. Just as a virus would, memes evolve
from their state, being photoshopped, and exaggerated. Memes can be about
anything.
• Biologist and evolutionary theorist Richard Dawkins invented the word meme in
1976.[1] He said that tunes, catch-phrases, beliefs, clothing fashions, ways of making
pots, and the technology of building arches were all examples of memes.
