DISTRIBUTION CHANNEL: Most of the transports are being done by railway(91%) and roadway(9%). If wagons arrived at rake points/platforms are not cleared in the given time, the logistic company has to pay a demurrage rate of 150 Rs per wagon to the platform authority. FARMERS SERVICE CENTERS: FSCs sell fertilizers directly to the farmers. They also provide technical know-how and different services. At present there are 168 FSCs spread throughout the country. IFFCO-NCDC SOCITIES: IFFCO has collaborated with National Cooperative Development Corporation(NCDC) to develop village level societies on the pattern of FSCs. 1450 societies were adopted and Rs 42.82 million was given to them as margin money. Previously Rs 30000 to Rs 40000 was provided to each society. After revision the loan amount has been increased upto Rs 100000. It is routed through state govt. in the form of equity. The telecom products of Airtel are made available for farmers. During 2017-18 ,everyday 2-3 voice messsages were being forwarded to about 2 million subscribers. ‘IFFCOKisan’ mobile application made by IFFCO was also downloaded by more than 4.50 lakh users. This app provides informations about weather forecast ,agricultural market information and agri- commodities etc. The information is provided by 10 indian languages with voice support.
