Fossil fuels are the highest emitters of CO2 and form approximately 87% of the world’s energy consumption. But the
alarming part is that 80% of this consumption is of crude and coal which also emit sulphur and particulate matter.
India is already the third biggest emitter in the world only because of this reason.
