How to Market yourself

 Great clips is a company I worked for about two years as a second job, the
first thing I learned form this company was how to present your self as a
stylist. It is important to have good hygiene and be welcoming and style
minded and up to date with your look first imprisons is a big deal breaker
and To bring more clients for them and the faster you are the more money
you would make also need to take a Corse in cutting of there styles and use
this style of cutting on all of your clients so others could fix it if necessary. ……..
Pros and cons to this is that its not up to date and every head is not the same
they teach buzz, flat top, bob and, long layer, and also they call a five step
cut its fast easy to check and fix .
Training Class

 Two days of training is expected and you learn the till and how to check in
customer's check them out how to push products and sale, great clips like
you to sale the more you sale you get a percentage that will bring up your
pay and there's, they love you to be a self motivated person. You start your
training at 8;30 am tell 5;00 pm and ½ hour lunch on the first day and each
hour from there is one cut at a time tell you can pass them off to the trainer.
 Then comes perm on day two same time 8;30 tell 5;00 pm first sales and
styles and blow dry's the perm wrap and how fast you can preform the job
each cut the is timed 11 minutes each hair cut or style should only take this
long. Timing is money and you should be able to do up to 30 people a day.
Training

Work Day

 First day is meet and greet and sweep up to help other and learn the till this
starts at 9;00 am opens and closes at 9;00pm you can work eight hours full
time or part time. ½ hour lunch two 15 minutes breaks on full time, part time
one ½ hour lunch and one break 10 minutes you are to help with sales and
use your sales experience on this day , the manager will see how you do
and then if you open that day till must be right on when you leave for next
team that will close. This must be checked off by manager before you
leave you are assigned a duty that is to be done every night before you
leave and also signed off by manager. Then starts all over next day.
Work day two

 Same start off 9;00 am but today you get to due hair cuts and you are
timed and all hair cuts are checked of by manger to make Shure your hair
cut is precise and each cut all day and told to pick up time more client
more money for them and you , you get to start $8.75 hour and 10% of hair
cuts after 10 client's ( I hated this job I worked hard for very little pay people
can be rood and expect a perfect hair cut, the time was never a enough
time to give a good cut I felt used . Sometimes some perks but not a lot it
would be better to be a owner. As weeks go on it’s the same for about one
month of probation and no fixes you are on your way . There are no four o
one k or insurance if any a band aid only. For a stylist of 45 year it’s a chop
shop and you don’t get to use all your talent now its $30,000 to become a
stylist and you know as mush or more than your doctor we have a science
degree . We deserve more respect. Than what given only a few people
can touch a person doctors, hairstylists, physical therapist and masseuse.
