Advantages of High Voltage Detector
 Helps in preventing fatal accidents to the workmen while attempting to
connect the discharge rod to the charged line (HT/LT).
 Detects the charged line through remote sensing from a distance of approx 1.5
mtrs for 11 KV line.
 In case of unintentional line charges (Specially during lunch hours) at site, the
detector fitted in the discharge rod will alert the workmen with audio &
visual signal.
 Typical error of workmen fixing the discharge rod to the charged line and next
fixing of ground wire to spike rods can be avoided.
 Thus , High Voltage detector alerts the workmen if the line is charged and
helps in ruling out any incidents.
