Environment
• Environment is something which my get
affected from any human activity and this
affect might be either beneficial or
detrimental.
Threats To Environment
• Increase of Temperature
• Depletion of water reservoirs
• Disease
• Change in weather Cycle
• Asphyxiation owing to increase of harmful
gases in atmosphere
• Ozone layer depletion
• Emission of Harmful gases
Environmental Concerns at Construction Site

• Spillage
• Dust
• Waste Generation
• Water
• Noise
Spillage
• Spillage at site is being curtailed by
constructing a designated place for storage of
all liquids e.g diesel
• Spill kit is being use at site in order to collect
any spill
• Workers are trained in using spill kit and safe
handling of liquid chemicals.
Dust
• Dust is consider as a major environmental concerns
at many construction site.
• Dust emission at construction site is mostly due to
movement of heavy and light machinery.

Impacts
inhalation of Dust cause many sorts of Disease
that include Lungs problems and asphyxiation.
• It may disturb the visibility of Drivers and Operators
which may result in an accident.
Controls for Dust emission
• Showering.
Dust should be control before it emit from Ground.
It can be control by showering of water whole site.
• Speed of vehicles
A minimum possible speed limit of all vehicles
should be ensured in order to curtail the amount of
dust emission.
• Whole loose sand should be removed from the site
and dumped at a suitable site where possible
SWM
• Curtailment
Different awareness campaigns are being
initiated in order to create the sense of
minimizing the production of waste.
Re Use
Re Cycle
Noise
• Noise is one of major environmental concern at construction site.
Aspects.
Movement of machinery
un necessary use of horns
Lack of maintenance of machinary.
Impact.
• Temporary ringing in ears
• Temporary Hearing Loss
• Permanent Ringing in ears
• Permanent Hearing Loss
• Fatigue
• Headche
• Stress
Controls
• Limit the Use of un necessary Horns
• Speed of vehicles at site should be reduced
• Proper and timely maintenance of machinary.
• Segregation of machinery and pedestrian
routes
