Cats

• The cat (Felis catus) is a small carnivorous


mammal. It is the only domesticated
species in the family Felidae and often
referred to as the domestic cat to
distinguish it from wild members of the
family. The cat is either a house cat, kept as
a pet, or a feral cat, freely ranging and
avoiding human contact.

• The first evidence of human stores of grain


come from Israel about 10,000 years ago, and
it is known that the development of grain
stores caused an accumulation and rise in the
population of the house mouse.
• The rodent first attracted wild cats into close
proximity with humans and then led to their
subsequent taming.

• Images and videos of domestic cats make up


some of the most viewed content on the web.
• As of 2015, there are over 2 million cat videos
on YouTube alone, and cats are one of the
most searched keywords on the internet.
• CNN estimated that in 2015 there could be
around 6.5 billion cat pictures on the internet

known for her unique appearance. She was the
runt of her litter. Her owner, Mike Bridavsky,
adopted her when his friends called to ask him to
give her a home.

• Tardar Sauce (born April 4, 2012) better known by her Internet
name "Grumpy Cat", is a cat and Internet celebrity known for
her grumpy facial expression

• is a male Scottish Fold (straight variety) cat in Japan who has become popular
on YouTube. As of April 2013, videos with Maru have been viewed over 200
million times. Videos featuring Maru have an average of 800,000 views each
and he is mentioned often in print and televised media discussing Internet
celebrities. Maru is the "most famous cat on the internet.
The Dark Side of Cats
• Australia is at war -- with feral cats. By 2020, the government
wants to kill two million free roaming cats, a large chunk of the
total feral cat population, which is estimated to be between 2
and 6 million, why is that ?
• the answer is simple: Cats, especially feral ones, are killers.
• The first cat is thought to have arrived in Australia at some
point in the 17th century. Since then, their number has
ballooned, with the population today estimated to cover 99.8%
of the country
The Dark Side of Cats
• Since they were first introduced by European settlers, feral cats
have helped drive an estimated 20 mammal species to
extinction.
• For cats, native species are easy prey. Cats are believed to kill
more than 1 million native birds, and 1.7 million reptiles across
Australia everyday.
In conclusion

• I don’t know whether they are angles or devils but what I do


know that they are so CUTE .
