 Calceta is the cantonal capital of Bolívar.

 In Calceta are made mocora crafts, clay pots,


and a variety of sweets based on eggs and
dairy products.
 The main activities are agriculture, cattle ranch,
commerce and the elaboration of crafts with straw
mocora and cotton.
Calceta is visited by two thousands of
people, when it is carnival time, or in its
parties.

 In cantonization, which is on October 13 and at


the patron festivities that are on August 27 and
28.
Calceta has a pleasant climate and extensive vegetation
The Carrizal river is the main water source of the canton,
It is navigable during the winter, where fishing is also
practiced.
