FIRE HALL FISH FRY

THE FIRE HALL IS
RIGHT ACROSS
THE STREET FROM
WHERE I LIVE
• It is a volunteer fire
department
• They do the fish fry every
year in lent since I could
remember
• By going to the fish fry every
Friday, the community helps
raise money for the fire
department funds
• The money goes to any
supplies or equipment that
they will need to get more of
• I found Christ in my work when I saw how this time of the
year can bring in people for one common view of staying true
to their faith
• I chose this because we are a relatively small
neighborhood almost everybody knows each other
and it is a fun environment
• It was nice to see the people so thankful for high
school students to volunteer in their community, and I
felt happy to do so.
• A lot of those people, costumers and the other
volunteers, lived in the neighborhood their entire lives
and told some of the stories from the ups and downs
of the area
