HI my name is Daniel attend Origins high School. I'm in class 902. In this
roundtables, I'm going to be presenting the process of how I made my short story.
On how I prepared for roundtables by taking 30 mins a day to write my short story
and my brainstorm and my storyboard. What I have enjoyed in this class is that we
read a lot of books.It was challenging to include magical realism in my writing.
Magical realism is magic that is basically normal.
Brainstorm
Magical realism was the part that was tricky part on what should i pick for
characters , conflict , and settings. What was gonna be the conflict between the
characters and when it will take place .
Plot sequence
Plot refers to the sequence of events inside a story which affect other events
through the principle of cause and effect. The causal events of a plot can be
thought of as a series of sentences linked by words like by and so.
Story Organizer
I organized this short story by starting off with giving characters names that my
friends have like john ,eric etc.Then I thought about how since i Play basketball a
lot I would put the setting as basketball gym and projects. The conflict was about
how a john seen another boy that wanted to play basketball but was discouraged
because he was disabled he did not have wings like everyone else.The conflict
got resolved by john influencing his dad into thinking bout getting a wing donor to
give up their wings so that eric can not only play basketball but be normal again.
First Draft
One time in A place where everyone is able to fly a boy named eric is being born
with a birth defect.A couple years later eric is now in his teen years and is having
a tough time being an outcast because of not having wings. But one day when eric
was doing an errand for his mom he seen john at the basketball court playing
against other people flying around. Something came to eric’s mind to go and join
them because he seemed nice , and that's what he did and he had made a new
friend his only friend. From that day on he eric and john would practice together go
to each other's houses , then one day it came to eric mind to ask john can his
father get him a donor for wings so he can be normal.
