• Bibliography (10 marks) • Presentation (10 marks) – you may present your work either as a book with a cover, contents page, pictures and written text or electronically (eg. in a PowerPoint or Weebly) Part 1 – Recreate an Artefact Recreate ONE artefact from the society you have chosen (Ancient India).
Ideas include: jewellery, clothing, an artwork, a diorama, a model of an
ancient building Part 2 – Museum Card Create a museum card to provide information about your artefact (max 200 words) Your museum card must be typed using Times New Roman size 12 Font, double spaced, maximum size A4 The card must include the following details: • Student name • Title of the artefact • Information about who created and/or would have used your artefact in your ancient society • The purpose of the artefact • Why is the artefact significant? Egs. of Museum Cards Part 3 - Map • Source a map of the area you have chosen – Ancient China • Label your map with at least: • 3 key ancient historical locations (eg cities, towns, significant cultural sites) • 3 key geographical features (eg. Oceans, rivers, mountain ranges). • Remember to include a Border, Orientation, Legend, Title and Scale (B.O.L.T.S.) Part 4 - Timeline Create a neatly labelled timeline for the period 3000BCE – 550CE with 10 major events in Ancient China history identified in chronological order. Part 5 - Essay • Compose a persuasive essay (at least 250 words using TEE paragraphs) justifying why, in your opinion, Ancient China is ‘epic’. In your response you need to refer to evidence from at least TWO of the following: • Warfare (internal or external) • Empires/Dynasties • Daily life • Religion / Beliefs / Teachings • Art and jewellery • Inventions and ideas • Significant individual/s • Contact with other societies (eg – trade/economy)
