about transport which
people from other countries
use when they visit New
Zealand.

The most commonly used
transport is the car, which is 68
percent of people use on their
holiday. Plane and coach are used
almost the same amount, at 32
percent. The fourth most popular
mean of transport is train, which is
20 percent of people use because
it is quite cheap and fast. A further
five percent use boat which is the
least used transport.

popular than public transport.

from a small rise of around five

and around this figure until the end 
of the time period.

before rising steadily to nearly

above one thousand and did not
