Tecnólogo Negociación Internacional Bogotá 2019 STEPS TO EXPORT STEP 1 You must perform an analysis of the potential markets to identify your characteristics. STEP 2 You must register with the Chamber of Commerce to obtain the NIT, this register is for tax, customs and Exchange issues. STEP 3 You have to go to he DIAN and obtain the RUT, which is the single tax register, this serves as control mechanism for the DIAN to identify and classify the taxpayers and non-taxpayers. STEP 4 You have to identify the tariff heading, before this the DIAN is only authorized entity to determine the tariff classification, and with this classification you know the supporting documents for the export, like for example the seen good ones. STEP 5 You have to establish the rules and the certificate of origin, with this you determine if you can obtain tariff benefits or even the exemption of the payment of the tariff, accepting the commercial agreements. This certificate of origin is issued by the Ministry of Commerce Industry and Tourism STEP 6 You have to fill out the DEX ( Export document ), this helps us to know if the collection of any tax and fee is required at the time of boarding. STEP 7 You have to submit the required documents to the DIAN and request the authorization of boarding STEP 8 When you receive the payment of the exported merchandise, you have to fill out the declaration of exchange and sale of foreing currency to the Exchange intermediary.
