Realism:
Began in France in the 1850s. Depiction of subjects as they
appear in everyday life, without embellishment or
interpretation. The term also describes works of art which,
in revealing the truth, may emphasize the ugly or sordid.

Impressionism:
A style of painting that gives the impression made the subject on the
artist without much attention to details. The pictured appearances
by stokes of unmixed colors to give the impression of reflected light.
“Sunrise” by Claude Monet “Dance at Le Moulin de la Galatte” by Pierre-Auguste Renoir
Abstract Expressionism:
A freely created abstractions. Represent the artists’ own reactions.
Develop by an American painters. The abstract paintings were now
housed in the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York.
Direction: Identify the following whether it is Realism,
Impressionism or Abstract Expressionism.
