Intonation
Introduction
Refers to the way the pitch of a speaker's voice rises or falls.
It is about how we say things, rather than what we say.
We can express our feelings with intonation.
Avoid sounding like a robot by using intonation.
Two basic patterns
Rising Intonation:
The voice rises sharply at the end of the sentence.
Falling Intonation:
The voice rises earlier in the sentence then falls at the end of the sentence.
