Building a Christian Home

Session 4: Family Enrichment Retreat

“As for me and my
household, we will serve
the Lord.”
Joshua 24:15 (NABRE)
God is the center of every family.
The family is where
we grow, where we
first become the
person that God has
planned us to be.
God made our
family our first
teacher.

“I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him
will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing. Anyone who
does not remain in me will be thrown out like a branch and wither; people
will gather them and throw them into a fire and they will be burned. If
you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want
and it will be done for you. By this is my Father glorified, that you bear
much fruit and become my disciples. As the Father loves me, so I also love
you. Remain in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will remain in
my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his
love.”
(John 15:5-10 NABRE)
Discussion Starters:
1. Ask how your family members are doing in the
retreat? What are the things they have learned in
the sessions?
2. Ask them if they are willing to be one in your
goal of building a good Christian Family and what
are they willing to contribute?
3. Discuss concrete resolutions to cooperate with
one another in building a Christian home. (Step
by step process as discussed in III)
4. Have a family prayer to be led by the father.
