Functional Requirement
• Design Water Depth : 7-12 m
• Speed Moving by winch
• Max Depth Reserve : 25 m ( Optional to 35-40 m after optimization of rig design)
• Tin ore reserve 2000 – 3000 mTon for return of investment
• Size of Deck ~ 30 x 30 m
• Drilling Pipe length to accommodate 25m drill depth (from WL)
• Weight of Rig and drill pipe – to be provided by Siko in 2 weeks
• Siko to provide drilling equipment list (including weights)
• Using cargo Barge for receiving and transport ore
• 3 conditions of operations – floating, skirt penetrating soil and on-bottom
• Fender needed for McT berthing cargo barge
• Timah to provide limiting operational criteria (such as rolling) for McT design
Data Requirement
• Met Ocean Data (OTL to recommend contractors; Use L-Parigi field wave
data for now. Timah to provide data for DED)
• Facility of fabrication (OTL’s initial assessment is that Pt Dak has the
fabrication capability for McT but need improvement on crane capacity and
dock preparation; confirming trolley capacity, Dredging of passage way to
sea) – Fab yard to provide its capacity data
• Drill Pipe Data and Weight (Timah to provide data for 25m drill pipe system)
• Rig Tower will be designed (main steel) by OTL in DED, with Siko input
• Local design code requirement for offshore and mining (Timah has no
specific design requirement). McT hull needs to be classed by BKI
• Current 60m rig design report (Timah to provide)
• Crew boat spec (Timah to provide two types currently operating)
• Cargo barge spec (provided)
Project Management
• Document control
– Following OTL document control
• Progress reporting
– MOM of weekly meeting through video of audio conference
– Monthly report
• OTL to send Timah the template
– OTL will TQ for clarification
– TR from Timah for request
• Deliverables
– 3 issues for each document: IR, IFA and AFC
– Timah to send drawing temp. and report temp.
• Invoicing and payment
– Typically one month after issue of invoice and confirmed of progress by
Timah
Contracting
• IP needs to be registered in Indonesia (Rammon to provide)
• 5% performance bond from local bank (through US bank). 3
local bank available – type A banks
– Bond will be withhold until final acceptance by Timah
– OTL to propose acceptance criteria (or functional requirement to
be met, such as payload, ballasting, mooring capacity, etc.)
– Revise engineering proposal to Timah
• Insurance – OTL to send professional insurance for Timah to
review.
