live and work together thus creating
better understanding and less cultural
barriers in city.
● Cities have advanced communication
and transportation networks.
● Urbanisation is the base of the of
overall development and growth of the
world.
● As more of jobs were formed inland,
more of the wealth was also moved
down to rural areas too.
SOCIO- CULTURAL IMPACTS
● Urbanization has affected family
structures, joint families are being
replaced by nuclear families.
● Due to the education development,
the caste identity and caste pride has
diminished.
● The status of women in urban areas is
higher in comparison to rural areas
and comparatively more educated.
