The Main Idea
Mitigate the food shortage problem by making the food donation process easy.

Currently, donors visit the Rizq center office to

register with them and place donation requests
via calls. The center than keeps these records
on paper and calls the transporters to inform
them about their duties and calls the donors to
update them regarding the status of their
request.
Our application aims to make this entire
process easier and more efficient.
-NO NEED for donors to visit the Rizq center,
sign up and request at their own convenience!
-NO NEED for the Rizq center to manually take
orders

Major Requirements
● Donor should be able add items that would
otherwise go to waste on their waste log and
contact the organization called Rizq to
request them to pick the donated items
using the app.
● The Rizq center should be accept or reject
request and assign transporters to the
accepted.
● The transporter should be notified about
orders to be picked
● The donors should be notified about the
status of their request

Application Testing

Limitations (AND FUTURE WORK)

● The application not provide location based

service at the moment. In future, we will use
the google maps API to update the donor
about the location of the rider who is on his
way to pick up orders
● Rizq center representatives have to manually
assign transporters. We would extend this
application by letting the application assign
the nearest transporters to pick the
donations up.
● The application does not support push
notifications at the moment, the application
has to be opened to view the notifications.
