• The Sukhoi Su-30 MKI is built by India’s Hindustan

Aeronautics Limited (HAL), but was initially designed
by Russia’s Sukhoi Corporation
• It is a two crew aircraft which can reach a maximum
speed of 2,100 km/h (Mach 2.0).
• Combat missions of 3.75 hours can be carried out by
this aircraft which has a range of 3000 km.
• At present, IAF has 194 Sukhoi Su-30MKIs with 72
more on order.

Gamma γ = climb angle
R/C = rate of climb,
Performance: Climb angle & Climb Rate

Take-Off & Landing …!!!
⦁ Can the Sukhoi Su-30MKI Take-off Vertically?

No but technically it is an STOL (Short Take off and Landing).

Normal weight take off distance = 550 meters
Landing distance at normal weight = 750 meters

With reduced payload, take-off distance could be reduced to about

450 meters and landing over 650 meters.
Thank you 
