MIGRATION OF DATA FROM MANUAL RECORDS TO

COMPUTERIZED SYSTEM

 Migration refers to the transfer of data from manual


records to the system itself.
 Migration is to be done by the user himself.
 Accuracy of the data and information transferred shall be
observed at all times.
 Active participation of officers and supervisors shall be

PARALLEL PROCEDURES

 Parallel procedures refer to the implementation of


automated system simultaneous with the old system or
manual system.
 Parallel procedures should be under the closed
supervision of IT Department and the Heads of affected
departments.
 If the implementation of the automated system shows
material errors, IT Department shall declare a “show
stopper”, meaning, implementation shall be postponed.
 If implementation is postponed, the company shall go
back to the manual or old system.
