DUTIES TO STUDENTS

• Be a good example and model to your students.


• Provide the students the proper equipment and place for practice.
• Set the rules of the gym and students duties and responsibilities
• Teach your students not only the skills but also instill in them the right values.
• Deal rapport and good communication and create a harmonious but
ethical relationship with our students.
• Be up to date of all taekwondo matters and attend refresher course
conducted by DEPED or PTA.
• Encourage your students to independently develop their talents and skills.
COACHES AND PLAYERS CODE OF
CONDUCTS

1. Coaches shall wear the proper attire. Slippers, shorts, caps and
sleeveless shirts are not allowed.
2. Coaches shall wear their Coach’s ID during the competition.
3. Only one coach shall be allowed in the coach’s position.
4. Coaches shall be seated while coaching
5. Coaches shall not approach the judges, referee or head of court while
the match is in progress except when filling a protest.
The coach should directly consult the tournament director or the chief of
referees regarding the conduct of an on going match.

6. Coaches shall not intimidate or provoke the judges, referee or head of


court by language, gesture or looks. Never argue with other coaches or
officials.
7. The coach should respect the decision of the referee and the other
competition officials. In case a questionable decision is made, formal protest
may be filed. Filling the protest is the function of the coach, head of team or
team manager and not of the players or their parents.

8. If the coach waives his right of file a protest, he should accept the decision
and not comment to others about the match in question.
9. Coaches are responsible for updating themselves with the current WTF
Competition Rules. PTA competition ground rules and PTA competition Codes
of Conducts. It is also the coaches duty to inform the players about these
rules. They should also make the effort to explain these rules to parents and
delegation members to avoid misunderstandings.

10. Coaches shall comply strictly with PTA Competition Ground Rules.
Coaches shall submit the competition requirements on time, with
complete and accurate information.
11. Coaches shall make sure that the members of their delegation maintain
order and cleanliness within the competition venue.

12. Coaches shall treat their players in a dignified manner. Avoid shouting,
scolding or striking a player in public.
PLAYERS CODE OF CONDUCT
1. Players shall strictly observe taekwondo courtersy by bowing in the
proper manner. The courtersy bow shall be executed in the following
occasions:
- to weigh-in official before and after weighing-in;
-to the coach before starting and after the match;
-to the other coach after the match;
-to officials and instructors of the PTA;
-to the opponent before and after the match.
-to other instructors and other players.
2. Players shall wear the authorized taekwondo uniform with the approved
PTA or WTF seal and prescribed belt.

3. Players shall provide their own protectors: headgear, body protector,


arm/shin guards and groin guard. Borrowed equipment from the competition
committee should be returned immediately after use so that others may be
able to use them.
4. Players shall strive to keep their appearance clean and neat. Folding the
sleeves into the mid-forearm and the pants up to the calves is not allowed.
The belt-not shall be placed in front and not pushed to the side or back.

5. Protectors shall worn in the proper manner. Arm and shin guards shall be
worn under the uniform. Body protectors shall be at the correct size
depending on the player’s body build. The correct body protector size should
be sufficiently protect the torso from the line of the hip bone to the base of
the neck. Body protectors shall not be worn too loosely.
6. Players shall also observe courtesy in the handling over the protectors to
the coach. Never throw the headgear and protectors to the coach.

7. Players shall report to the inspection area once their names are called;
they shall stay within the vicinity of the inspection area and not loiter around
the competition area.
8. Players shall observe order and cleanliness within the competition venue by
throwing all waste materials into the proper receptacle and by encouraging
others to do so. As a guideline, the competition venue shall be left in the
same manner it was found.
9. Players shall display a high level of sportsmanship by strictly adhering to the
rules of the Taekwondo competition. Seeking to cheat or to violate the rules is
conduct unbecoming of desciplined Taekwondo practitioner.
10. In the quest for knowledge and self-improvement, the players shall make
the effort to have a deeper understanding of the spirit of the Taekwondo
competition rules. They shall also seek to develop their competition skills to a
higher level in the light of the rules.
