Corporate history
1945-1950: Development of construction winches, lifts, mobile cranes, concrete
mixers and excavators
1953: SCHWING builds the first German climbing crane
1957-1968: First oil hydraulic two-cylinder concrete pump, truck-mixer, truck-mounted
concrete pump
1969: First separate placing boom
1973-1978: Sludge pump, KVM 45, 15.000 machines
1980: Generation change: Gerhard and Friedrich Wilhelm Schwing take over the
management
1982: Schwing GmbH takes over the company Stetter and increases as a complete
supplier for the concrete industry
1983: Introduction of rock valve; structure the SCHWING Group
1998: Presentation of the super-x-outriggers
2012: XCMG becomes a strategic partner

 SCHWING Stetter India, a 100% subsidiary of the Schwing Group of companies GmbH was
incorporated in the year 1998.

 Schwing Stetter is the pioneer of Concrete Construction equipment manufacturing in India catering
to the customers with world-class concreting equipment.

 The company has production facilities in Germany, Austria, Brazil, USA, Russia, China and India
and branches in 12 locations throughout India and 15 locations in the rest of the world.

 The company also has more than 100 sales and service centers across the world. The company has
branches with full-fledged sales and service support at - New Delhi, Chandigarh, Ahmadabad
Jamshedpur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pondicherry and Cochin, Chennai

• 10 acres of land in SIPCOT Industrial estate, Irungattukottai, (Plots –

F71/72) commenced in November 2001.
• additional 10 acres (Plots – D - 6 & D -15) in December 2005.
• full-fledged Training Centre and Service Center became operational at
Plot F – 72.
• newly acquired 10 acres (Plot G - 12 /12A) in January 2007.
• In 2011 acquired another 5 acres (Plot F-75) in the same SIPCOT
