South África Geography

 South Africa is a sovereign

country, a member of the African
Union, located in southern Africa.
Its territory is organized in nine
provinces. Its capitality has a
special status, as it is made up of
three cities. Likewise, the most
populous city in the country is
Johannesburg, which is also one
of the 40 largest metropolitan
areas in the world.
Politics

 In early 2018, President Jacob Zuma resigned

after being involved in a corruption scandal.
He was replaced by President Cyril
Ramaphosa.

 The National Assembly has 400 members,

elected through a proportional electoral
system. The National Council of the
Provinces, which replaced the Senate in 1997,
consists of 90 members representing each of
the nine provinces of South Africa, while large
cities are also represented. Each province in
South Africa has a Unicameral Provincial
Legislature, and an Executive Council headed
by a Premier.
 CUSTOMS
 The customs of the African
continent are very varied, it
will depend on the African
region in which the country is
located. For example, in
Muslim African countries the
traditions and customs will be
different from those in Black
Africa.
 In Libya, women dress in the
traditional barracano, a long
suit that covers them from
head to toe and only leaves a
part of the face free.
 The levirato is practiced by
various tribe, this is that the
widow dispossesses the
brother of the late husband.
 The African black indigenous
religion focused on the
veneration and orientation of
ancestors, the belief in
various minor spirits,
spiritual healing modes and
seasonal agricultural rites.
