Festival Culture in Indonesia

• Indonesia has many festival culture
For the example there is Nyepi,Lembah
baliem,dieng cultural fest, pasola,
Baunyale,Karapan Sapi,waisak, Rambo solo
Ceremony and many more.
• Bau Nyale
In Lombok, there is a unique tradition, it called Bau
Nyale ceremony. This unique tradition is held around
February each year during the rainy season. The word
‘bau’ in Lombok language means ‘to-catch’ and Nyale is
a type of sea worm that surfaces only around this time
of the year.
Until today, Lombok’s people believe that when a
person is able to catch that worms, that person will
bring good luck in his or her life.
• Karapan sapi
Karapan sapi or bull race is madura's
traditional festival which in this event, a couple
of bulls will race in pair and there is also a
standing wooden cart that put in those bull back
that a place for a jockey to ride away the bull
and controling their speed.
• Dieng culture festival
The beauty of the highlands of Dieng Plateau in
Central Java the ritual of shaving off dreadlocks of kids
born with this unique hair. The ceremony is known as
Ruwatan anak gembel/gimbal. Dieng is a place where
many kids are born with dreadlock hair. A mith behind
Ruwatan ritual is when the kids born with dreadlock
hair is the descendant of Ratu Kidul. Dieng's people
believe that when the parents of kids with dreadlock
hair doesnt giving their child wishes, the kids will get
sick
