Canada’s geography
• Its capital is Ottawa, and its three largest metropolitan areas are
Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver.
• Canada is constituted by ten provinces and three extend territories
from Atlantic to Pacific and Northward into Arctic Ocean.
• The provinces are: Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick,
Manitoba, British Columbia, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan,
Alberta and Newfoundland and Labrador.
Canada’s Goverment
• Canada is a constitutional monarchy, which means, the queen is the
head of the state, Queen Elisabeth II; the Prime Minister is the
head of the government, Justin Trudeau; and the Governor General of
Canada is the federal viceregal representative of the canandian
monarch, Julie Payette .
Canada’s History
• Native Americans Lived in Canada for thousands of years. In the early
1600s, colonists from Britain and France began to settle in eastern
Canada, along the St Lawrence River. Canada proved to be excelente
spot fr trapping and trading of furs. In the 1800s, settlers began to
push west. Most of the native Americans were displaced by Europeans.
