• The Internet is growing explosively, as is the
number of crimes committed against or using
computers. As a response to the growth of
computer crime, the field of computer
forensics has emerged.
• This topic mainly focuses on analysis and
implementation of the tools and methods.
What is computer forensics?
• “Computer Forensics is the process of
identifying, preserving, analyzing and
presenting the digital evidence in such a
manner that the evidences are legally
acceptable”.
