ACCRUAL ACCOUNTING
• Transactions are accounted for when revenue
is earned and expenses incurred
• Balance day adjustments apply to the accrual
system

– Wages earned by employees but not paid in current

• Treatment
– Increase (debit) wage expense and create a liability
