COURSE DESCRIPTION

1. Innovation has become the main theme of


competition.
2. This course provides a framework for managing
innovations in businesses.
3. It aims to equip students with an understanding of
the principals and main issues in innovation
management.
COURSE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

By the end of the course, students should be able to:


1. ¨Understand the definitions and concepts of innovation and why it became
imperative in today’s business environment.
2. Understand the sources and types of innovation.
3. Describe innovation as a management process and how organizations
manage this process.
4. Understand the success and failure factors of new innovations.

● Each group will present a real life innovation example in terms of its
evolution and link the story to the chapter.
Final Project
THE FINAL PROJECT

1. The final project of the semester will be related to innovation practices in


real life.
2. Each group is required to choose one of Companies operating in Egypt as
the topic for their project (list is available on the intranet).

3. Groups will be of 4 to 5 members.
