ALBERTO BENAVIDES

(Lima, October 21, 1920 -

February 12, 2014) was an
engineer, mining
entrepreneur.
 He is a mining engineer, he studied at UNI in Lima
and then a master's degree at Harvard University.

 With such a resume, his first job was a worker at the

Franklin mine in New Jersey.
 He returned to work in Peru and when he got a good
position in the Cerro de Pasco mine, he put all his chips
at age 31 to buy the Julcani mine in Huancavelica
 He created the first Latin American mining company
to list on the New York Stock Exchange since 1996.

 the largest mining company in Peru

 His words were that mining is the engine that made
him rich, that luck is made

 it was like that I make a fortune of $ 2 billion ,starting
