INTRODUCTION
• Customers are the reason for existence of
business.
• Customer is centric.
Customer Etiquette
 CE - What make the customer to feel good
 In office when customer enters he should
feel himself happy.
 Customer should be treated well.
 Customer should get all the information
he/ She needs.
 Etiquette is caring for the client and their
needs.
CUSTOMER MEETINGS
 Fix the appointment before meeting a person.
 Meet him on time
 If situation do not permit you to be in time
inform him before and apologize yourself.
 When you enter others office, when you are
saying name also present your card to
receptionist.
 If they ask you to wait if there are number of
chairs ask them which one to use.
 Don’t remain standing if your host is seated.
CUSTOMER MEETINGS
 Don’t lay paper on the desk or floor.
 Don’t touch anything on the desk.
 Leave promptly when your business is completed.
 Send thank you note for the meeting within 24
hours.
 When your visitor walk in to your office
 Get up from the desk go around the desk greet the
visitor.
 When they leave walk with them up to the lobby
and to the lift. Wait until they enter the lift and the
doors are closed.
CONDUCTING A Meetings
 Check the availability of venue.
 Ensure every one will attend the meeting
 Inform the purpose of the meeting.
 Prepare agenda.
 Reach the venue at least 15 min early.
 Enough writing pad, pens, chairs, drinking
water, and glass should be available.
 Chairperson should arrive before 10 min and
ensure that agenda is followed.
CONDUCTING A Meetings

At the end summarize the discussion.


Day after proceeding of the meeting is sent to all

the attendees.
If you are attending the meeting be on time.

Do rehearsal before meeting.

If your seat is not mentioned ask them where to sit.

Do not interrupt while speaker speaks.

Keep your business card always.


Working Business Meals
• It can be breakfast, lunch or after noon tea.
BREAK FAST
 Starts at 7.30 or 8.00 am.
 No alcohol is served
LUNCH
 Meals can be consumed at the office. If not
go to nearer restaurant to have quick meal.
 Timing 12.00 or 1.00 pm.
 Normally 2 hours can be used for lunch.
 Alcohol may be served.
Working Business Meals

AFTER NOON TEA


 Timing is 3.30 pm. 30 min or 45 min shall
be spent for afternoon tea.
 No alcohol is served.
 Make sure the availability of tea and bites
in advance.
 Host should serve the tea for the guest

Party for
 New product launch.
 Making business proposal.
 Entering into business alliance.
 Introducing senior officer.
 Thanking a person.
Goal of giving party is to make others feel good and
result in closer relationship.
2 entities in a party are HOST AND GUEST
Host RESPONSIBILTY
 Make the guest to feel ease.
 Guest must be greeted and introduced to
each other and provide drink and food.
 In big parties guest wife is also invited. In
that case host wife should greet her.
 Arrive before your guest comes.
 Plan the event well.
 Dress properly
GUEST RESPONSIBILTY
 Mention the time you arrive while travelling.

 After having the food wait for 15 min and then

leave the place.


 Gift bouquet of flower or bottle of wine when

you are invited to a persons home.


 Gift household item when you are invited to

housewarming ceremony.
 Be punctual and introduce yourself to other

guest.
 Thank the host for calling you and send thank

you note.
