Sněžka in the Giant Mountains

• Sněžka (Sněžka) is located in the famous Krkonoše (Czech Krkonoše, Polish
Karkonosze). At 1,602 meters, it is the highest mountain in the Czech
Republic. South of the mountain is the city Pec pod Sněžkou (Petzer) and
north in the Polish Lower Silesian Voivodeship, the city Karpacz (Karpacz).
• On the southern slope of the mountains flows the Úpa (Aupa), which has
its origin in Równia pod Śnieżką (Koppenplan), runs through Pec pod
Sněžkou and finally ends into the Elbe. In the north, the Łomnica (Great
Lomnitz) banned their way. It rises from the same plateau, flows through
Karpacz and flows into the Bóbr (Bober).

through the Riesengrund (Obří důl)

Arrival at the Silesian house
• At about 1400 m the Silesian
House is located , which is on
Polish soil.

the highest mountain in the Czech
