WHAT IS TRADITONAL ART?
 The arts that have been handed or passed
down from the master craftsmen to their
apprentices.
 Usually produced in indigenous
communities, reflecting culture and history.
 Learned from family or community .
 Animism is the usual theme of traditional art.
 It is also rich in songs and dances .
 It is found in the museum.
WHAT IS CONTEMPORARY ART?
 Revolves around the feelings and thoughts of the artist
and audience.
 It uses wide variety of materials, media, techniques
and styles.
 It is characterized by being, conceptual, innovative,
expressive, and experimental.
 It allows viewers to participate in the experience.
 Modernism is the theme
 It is found anywhere in schools, streets, train, bus
stations, malls or parks.
