SECOND DAY – FEBRUARY 23, 1986 • Loyalists of Ferdinand Marcos attacked the Radio Veritas. • On Cardinal Sin’s call, thousands of people flocked to Camp Aguinaldo and Crame bringing meals for the rebels. SECOND DAY – FEBRUARY 23, 1986 • The celebration of the Holy Mass and praying the rosary continue inside and outside of the camps. • The civilian people serve as human shield of the “RAM” against the tank of the government. THIRD DAY- FEBRUARY 24, 1986 • Rumors swirled that President Marcos planned to strike back. But it was not enough to deter the citizens who showed up en masse. • EDSA (from Cubao to Ortigas Ave.) becomes a sea of people. THIRD DAY- FEBRUARY 24, 1986 • Despite the resounding clamor for Marcos’ resignation, Marcos appeared on live television with his family to proclaim that he had no intention of conceding. • At EDSA, the surreal was becoming a reality- soldiers refusing to fire when ordered, flowers being laid on top of rifles. FOURTH DAY- FEBRUARY 25, 1986 • Two inauguration happened in the history of the Philippines. 1. Aquino is sworn into office by Senior Justice Claudio Teehankee at Club Filipino. 2. Marcos is sworn into office by Chief Justice Ramon Aquino at Malacanang Palace. FOURTH DAY- FEBRUARY 25, 1986
