 Altered RV structure and function due to chronic lung disease

 Most common cause are COPD, cystic fibrosis, and ARDS
 Pathophysiology
• Lung disease cause vascular remodeling, vasoconstriction, and
destruction  Increased RV afterload
• RV is better to handle volume overload so pressure overload due to
pulmonary hypertension cause RV to fail
