There are three definition about procedure text :
1. Texts that explain how something works or how
to use intruction / operation manuals e.g. how
to use the video, computer, the tape recorder,
the photocopier, the fax.
2. Texts that instruction how to do a particular
activity e.g. recipes, rules for games, science
experiments, road safety rules.
3. Texts that deal with human behavior, e.g how
to live happily, how to succed.

1. Goal : (e.g: How to make cup cake)

2. Material or Ingredient : (e.g: The material to
make hot coffe are coffe, water, sugar, etc)
3. Step : (e.g: First, wash the tomatoes, onion,
…., second cut the onions becomes slice. . . )

make/operate/do something through a
sequence of actions or steps.
2. To explain steps/instruction to
make/operate/do something.

1. Use adverbial of sequence / using temporal

conjunction (e.g: first, second, third, the last)
2. Use command / imperative sentence (e.g : put the
noodles on the . . ., cut the onion. . ., wash the
tomatoes. . .)
3. Using adverbials (adverbs) to express detail the
time, place, manner accurate, for example, for five
minutes, 2 hours, etc.
4. Using action verbs, e.g : make, take, boil, cook.

Blood Pressure is the force of circulating blood on the walls of
the arteries. Blood pressure is taken using to measurements :
Systolic (measure when the heart beats, when blood pressure is at its
highest and diastolic (measured between heart beats, when blood
pressure is at its lowest). Blood presure is written with the systolic
blood pressure first, followed by the diastolic blood presure (for
example 120/80).
To take blood pressure you can use digital blood pressure
monitor and take manually with blood pressure cuff.
Normal blood presure Systolic is 70-110 for child and 90-120 for
adult. Then diastolic is 50-70 for child and 60-90 for adult.
To take blood pressure manually is easily using a blood pressure
cuff. And you just need easy tools among blood pressure cuff and
stehoscope.
It is the prosedur how to take blood pressure manually.
First, Locate your pulse. Put your index and middle
fingers over the inside center of your inner elbow.
Second, Wrap the cuff around your arm. The cuff
should be evenly tight around your arm. Next, Slide the
head of the stethoscope under the cuff. The position
directly over the pulse of your brachial artery. Position
the gauge and the pump. Put the gauge where you can
see it.
. Then, Inflate the cuff. Rapidly squeeze the
pump bulb until you no longer hear the sound of your pulse
through the stethoscope. Stop once the gauge reads 30 to 40
mmHg above your normal blood pressure. Deflate the
cuff. Open the airflow valve by twist the screw
counterclockwise. Let the cuff deflate gradually. Next, Listen
for systolic sign. That is when you hear the firsth patient
heartbeat. Listen for the diastolic. That is when the last
sound of your heartbeat. Last, Open the cuff from your arm
