Adjective of Quality

The adjectives that are used to describe the


nature of a subject or a noun or showing the
kind or quality of nouns or pronouns are
called Adjective of Quality.

Exp: large, big, small, etc


Adjectives Of Quantity
Adjectives of quantity as the name suggests
describes the quantity, these adjectives help to
show the amount or the estimated amount of
the noun or pronoun.

Exp:all, little, some, etc


Adjectives of Number
Adjectives of number and adjectives of quantity
both indicate an amount. The main difference
between adjectives of number and quantity is
that adjectives of quantity express an
approximate quantity whereas adjectives of
number express the exact number.

Exp:first, second, third, etc


Demonstrative Adjectives
Demonstrative adjectives are adjectives that
are used to modify a noun so that we know
which specific person, place, or thing is
mentioned. Exp

1. Do you like this soup ?


2. What is inside that cup ?
Possessive Adjective
A possessive adjective modifies a noun or a
pronoun to show who (or what) owns
something. Exp:

1. It’s my car
2. That is his bicycle
The Interrogative Adjectives
The interrogative adjectives are used to modify
the noun and ask questions too. They are used
with nouns to ask questions such as what,
whose, where, why, how and which. Exp:

1. Where is your car ?


2. Why are you crying ?
Proper Adjective
A proper adjective is a modifier that is formed
from a proper noun. Like adjectives, proper
adjectives modify nouns and pronouns. Exp:

1. I like American drink


2. She is Italian girl
Distributive Adjectives
Distributive adjectives are normally used with
singular nouns. They include “each”, “every”,
“either”, and “neither” and are used to refer to
members of a group as individuals. Exp :

1. Each book in the class has a template


2. Every one has completed a study
