1 .NOUN
A noun is a person, place, thing, or idea
example of nouns : Vania, Jerman, chair, happiness
example sentences : William lives in London

Types of Noun
• Proper : proper noun always start with a capital letter and refers to specific names of persons,
places, or things.
example: John, California,
• Common : common noun are the opposite of proper nouns. These are just generic names of
persons, things, or places.
example : car, pizza parlor, TV series
• Concrete : this kind refers to nouns which you can perceive through your five senses.
example : folder, sand, board
• Count : it refers to anything that is countable, and has a singular and plular form.
example : kitten, video, ball
• Mass : this is the opposite of count nouns. Mass nouns are also called noncountable nouns, and
they need to have “counters” to quantify them.
example of counters : kilo, cup, meter
example of mass nouns : rice, flour, garter
• Concrete Noun
a concrete noun is a noun noun that can be identified through one of
the five senses (taste, touch, sight, hearing, or smell)
Example : would someone please answer the phone ?
Abstrak noun
An abstrak noun is a noun that cannot be perceived using one of the
five senses (I,e., taste, touch, sight, hearing, smelling).
Example : we can’t imagine the courage it took to do that.
2 . PRONOUNS
A pronoun is a word that takes the place of a noun.

Example : I, you, we, they, he, she, it, me, us, them, him, her, this,those.
Example sentences : Sovia is tired . She wants to sleep. I want her to
dance with me
3 . ADJECTIVES
An adjectives is a word that describes a noun or pronoun. It tells what
kind, how many, or which one.
Example : big, happy, green, young, fun, crazy, three.
Example sentences : The little girl had a pink hat.
4 . VERB
A verb is the action of the sentence. It shows what someone or
something is doing.
Example : go, speak, run, eat, play, live, walk, visit, swim, help, bought.
Example sentences : will you help me with the laundry ?
They bought a new car.
5 . ADVERB
An adverb describes how the actions is performed. They tell how much,
how often, when and where something is done.
Examples : slowly, quietly, very, always, never, too, well, tomorrow,
here.
Example sentences : I am usually busy.
Yesterday, I ate my lunch quickly.
6 . PREPOSITION
A preposition is a word that shows position or, direction.
Examples : in, out, under, over, after, out, into, up, down, for, and
between.
Example sentences : I left my keys, on the table for you.
7 . CONJUNCTION
A conjunction is a word that joins words or word groups together.
Examples : and, but, or, nor, although, yet, so, either, also, because.
Example sentences : I was hot and exhausted but I still finished the
marathon
8 . INTERJECTION
An interjection is a word that shows strong emotion.
Examples : wow ! , ouch ! , hurray ! , oh no !
Example sentences : wow ! I passed my English test. Great ! That hurt.
