BLISTER BLIGHT OF TEA:


 Exobasidium vexans

 SYMPTOMS:

 Small ,pale green yellow or pinkish, translucent spot


(younger leaf).
 The spot on Upper leaves becomes sunken into a shallow
depression(smooth and shiny).
 The lower convex surface shows dull then grey as thought
they are dusted with powder.
 Infection may spread to leaf stalk, young green stem and
death.
 Management

 Spray COC @ 0.25%


o hexaconazole@ 0.1%
o main infection during Oct-dec . Pruning and
Plucking restrict the Infection.
 GREY BLIGHT OF TEA:
 Pestalotiopsis theae
 Symptoms:
 Small, oval pale yellow green spots appears first
on younger leaves ,the spots surrounded by a
narrow yellow zone.
 As the spot grow it turn brown or grey and tiny
black dots becomes visible and tissue falls.
 Leads to defoliation.(any age)

 MANAGEMENT:
 Avoid plant stress
 Spacing to permit air circulation and reduce
humidity and leaf wetness;
BLACK ROT OF TEA:
Corticum invisum, Corticum
theae
 SYMPTOMS;
 Blackish brown or chocolate brown spots on
young leaves.
 The spots coalesce to form patch which extends
over the whole leaf.
 The leaves becomes soft and rotten.

 Management:
 Removed the dead twigs and burnt
 COC@ 0.3% OR Bordeaux mixture 1%
