Type of trapezoid
Isosceles Trapezoid
A isosceles trapezoid is a trapezoid with congruent base
angles. The definition of an isosceles triangle states that
the triangle has two congruent "sides".
Characterization of isosceles trapezoids
1. Base angles of an isosceles trapezoid are equivalent.
2. Diagonals of an isosceles trapezoid are equivalent
3. Opposite angles are auxiliary.
4. The addition of two adjacent angles are equivalent to 180°
5. An isosceles trapezoid with a particular angle and diagonal.
6. The addition of all the interior angles are equal to 360°
7. The center of a trapezoid is a segment, it connects the midpoints of the
nonparallel surface.
8. It has similar bases. Its extent equals half the addition of the base lengths.
9. The angles on any surface of the bases are the similar size/measure
(congruent).
Right Trapezoid
A right trapezoid (also called right-angled trapezoid) has
two adjacent
Scalene trapezoid
A scalene trapezoid is a trapezoid with no sides of
equal measure.
Trapezoid Shape
Area of the trapezoid ABCD = Area of the
triangle ABD + Area of the triangle BCD

Area of the triangle ABD = x 𝐴𝐵 x 𝐷𝐹

Area of the triangle BCD = x 𝐷𝐶 x 𝐵𝐸

Since FBED is a rectangle, opposite

Therefore, area of the triangle ABD +
