SCOPE STATEMENT

Project Objective:
To design and develop a virtual(online) library within one and a half month,
starting from October 31st with a budget not to exceed $ 35,000 for Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
Deliverables:
• Collect the information of most requisitioned book by students and
add PDF version of it.
• Daily and monthly editions of Newspapers and Magazines.
• Advertisement amongst the campus.
• Paid promotion for various stores.
• Paid downloadable offline versions.
• Tutorials,Videos, documentaries relevant to courses.
• Different profiles for instructors and students.
• Complete e-Library Web portal.
• Helpdesk.
Milestones:
Server and system setup-November 6
Approval of material from instructors- November 8
Licensing from authors/Publications – November 10
App store permissions from Android and Apple software – November 15
Sorting and Segmentation of various books- November 18
Beta versions for the App/ Website- November 25
Testing and changes for the App/Website-November 30
Final version of App and Website-December 10

Limits and Exclusions:
• Dependability on network provided by ISP.
• Limitation of resources(books). Only data getting permission from authors will be uploaded.
• Old published books may not have a digital copy. So, they will require scanning of entire book for the
upload.
• Piracy of downloadable versions cannot be stopped.
