Graph
Graph is a diagram representing
a system of connections or
interrelations among two or
more things by a number of
distinctive dots, lines, bars, etc.
Kinds of Graphs
1.Bar Graph
Bar graphs to show numbers that are
independent of each other.Example
data might include things like the
number of Students Taking Part in
after-School Activities.
2.Pie Chart
Pie Chart to show you how a whole is
divided into different parts.You might,
for example, the Population of
Countries of the European Union in
2007 by percentage.
3.Line Graph
Line graph to show you how
numbers have changed overtime.
They are used when you have
data that are connected, and to
show trends, for example, Mobile
Phones Sales (in Million) in each
year.
4.Funnel Chart
Funnel Charts are a type of chart, often
used to represent stages in a sales
process and show the amount of
potential revenue for each stage. For
example, Sales Pipeline funnel.
5.Histogram
Histograms are sometimes confused
with bar graphs. A histogram is used
For continuous data, while a bar
graph is a plot of categorical
variables. For example, IQ score
(Minimum Data Value).
6. Area Chart
Area chart or area graph displays
graphically quantitative data. For
example, Wildlife Population
every year.
7.Bubble Chart
Bubble Chart is a variation of a scatter
chart in which the data points are
replaced with bubbles, and an additional
dimension of the data is represented in
The size of the bubbles. For example,
Risk Assessment for Q1 Opportunities.
8.Tree Map
A treemap chart provides a hierarchical
view of your data and makes it easy to
spot patterns, such as which items are
a store’s best sellers. For example what
snakes can, are, have.
9.Radar Chart
Radar Chart is a graphical method of
displaying multivariate data in the
form of a two-dimensional chart of
three or more quantitative variables
represented on axes starting from
the same point.For example, Sales
radar chart.
10. Scatterplot
A scatter plot (also called a
Scatterplot, scatter graph, scatter
chart, scatter gram, or scatterdiagram)
is a type of plot or mathematical
Diagram using Cartesian coordinates to
Display values for typically two
Variables for a set of data. For example
Scatterplot of Weight vs Height.
11.Waterfall Chart
Waterfall Chart is a form of data
visualization that helps in
understanding the cumulative
effect of sequentially introduced
positive or negative values. For
example, Company Profit (in USD) –
2008.
12.Box Plot
The Box Plot is a standardized way of
displaying the distribution of data
based on the five number summary:
minimum, first quartile, median, third
quartile, and maximum. For example,
Miles per gallon for All Vehicles.
