Psychopathy • Psychopathy is a mental illness characterized by actions that are egocentric and antisocial. Psychopathy comes from the word psyche which means soul and pathos which means disease. The sufferer is also often referred to as a psychopath or sociopath, because his behavior is antisocial and detrimental to the people closest to him. • Psychopathy is not the same as crazy because a psychopath is fully aware of his actions. Sufferers are often called crazy people without mental disorders. According to research about 1% of the total world population has psychopathy. These sufferers are difficult to detect because as many as 80% more are wandering than those who are in prison or in mental hospitals, sufferers are also difficult to cure. Prof.Robert D.Hare
