• Wi-Fi Alliance introduced its Wi-Fi Protected Access industry certification.
• WPA was based on the 802.11i and included 802.1x authentication.
• Once 802.11i was ratified and published, it included the WPAv2 which
offers allot of features and to be backward compatible, all the while
including CCMP algorithms
• EAP-based authentication is part of WPAv2 but not required
• EAP-TLS, PEAP, EAP-TTLS and EAP-SIM
• Two modes of WPA2
• Personal
