 THE QURAN REVEALS

ِ ‫ق َ ٰۗوا ْل َم ْغ ِر‬
‫ب‬ ِ ‫ر‬ِ ْ
‫ش‬ ‫م‬َ ْ
‫ل‬ ‫ا‬ ‫ل‬
َ َ ‫ب‬ ‫ـ‬ ‫ق‬
ِ ‫م‬

‫ل‬ ‫ا‬ ‫س‬ َ ‫ي‬
ْ َ ‫ل‬
‫اْل ِخ ِر َوا ْل َم ٰل ِٕى َك ِة‬ ِ ٰ ‫َو ٰل ِك َّن ا ْل ِب َّر َم ْن ٰا َم َن ِب‬
ٰ ْ ‫اّلل َوا ْليَ ْو ِم‬
2:177‫ب َوالنَّ ِبيّٖ َن‬ ِ ‫َوا ْل ِك ٰت‬
Righteousness is not (merely) that you turn your faces to the East
and the West; but righteousness is that one believes in Allah and
the Last Day and the angels and the Book and the Prophets
 THE QURAN REVEALS

‫ع ٰلي‬ َ ٰۗ ‫ي ن ََّز َل‬ ِ ‫س ْو ِل ٖه َو ْال ِك ٰت‬

ْ ‫ب الَّ ِذ‬ ِ ‫• ٰيٰٓاَيُّ َھا الَّ ِذي َْن ٰا َمنُ ْٰٓوا ٰا ِمنُ ْوا ِب ه‬
ُ ‫اّٰلل َو َر‬
‫اّٰلل َو َم ٰل ِٕى َكتِ ٖه‬ ِ ‫س ْو ِل ٖه َو ْال ِك ٰت‬
ْٰٓ ‫ب الَّ ِذ‬
ِ ‫ي ا َ ْنزَ َل ِم ْن قَ ْب ُل ۭ َو َم ْن يَّ ْكفُ ْر ِب ه‬ ُ ‫َر‬
4:136‫ض ٰل ا ًۢل بَ ِع ْيدۢا‬ َ ‫ض َّل‬ َ ‫اْل ِخ ِر فَقَ ْد‬ ٰ ْ ‫س ِل ٖه َو ْاليَ ْو ِم‬ُ ‫َو ُكت ُ ِب ٖه َو ُر‬
• O you who believe, do believe in Allah and His Messenger and in the Book
He has revealed to His Messenger and in the Books He has revealed earlier.
Whoever disbelieves in Allah and His angels and His Books and His
Messengers and the Last Day has indeed gone far astray.
 IN HADITH
Hadith-e-Jinreel

‫…قال فأخبرني عن اإليمان قال أن تؤمن باهلل ومالئكته وكتبه ورسله‬. •

….‫واليوم اآلخر وتؤمن بالقدر خيره وشره‬

• “tell me about Iman (faith) " (Allah's Apostle) said, ‘Iman is to believe in
Allah, and His angels, and His scriptures, His Apostles and the last day, and
the divine predestination of good and evil." [MUSLIM]

‫مًلئکہ‬
Angels are creation of
ALLAH, created with
light and are the servants
of ALLAH
 Belief in ANGELS ‫مًلئکہ‬

ِ‫اّلل‬ ََ ‫ن َۭ َُكلَ ٰا َم‬

َٰ ‫ن ِب‬ ََ ‫ن َّر ِبهَ َو ْال ُمؤْ ِمنُ ْو‬ ََ ‫ل ِب َماَ ا ُ ْن ِز‬
َْ ‫ل اِلَ ْي َِه ِم‬ َُ ‫س ْو‬
ُ ‫الر‬
َّ ‫ن‬ ََ ‫• ٰا َم‬
ٰۗ
2:285 َ‫س ِله‬ ُ َ‫ن ر‬َْ ‫ْن ا َ َحدَ ِم‬ َ َ ۭ َ‫س ِله‬
َُ ‫ل نُفَ ِر‬
ََ ‫ق بَي‬ ُ ‫َو َم ٰل ِٕى َكتِهَ َو ُكت ُ ِبهَ َو ُر‬
• The Messenger has believed in what has been revealed to him from his Lord,
and the believers as well. All have believed in Allah and His angels and His
Books and His Messengers. :We make no division between any of His
Messengers
 Belief in ANGELS ‫مًلئکہ‬

• The second article of faith.

• Created from Noor
• Their status and ranks are different.
• Have no free will.
• Servants of ALLAH
• Angels are infallible
 ANGELS ‫مًلئکہ‬
• Their tasks and duties.
‫ار َْليَ ْفت ُ ُر ْو َن‬ َّ ‫ن‬‫ال‬ ‫و‬ ‫ل‬
َ ‫ي‬
ْ َّ َ ُ‫• ي‬
َ َ َ ‫س ِب ُح ْو َن ال‬
‫ھ‬
• They proclaim His purity night and day, never slackening. [21:20]
ٰ ٰۗ ٰ
‫علي َم ْن يَّش َٰۗا ُء ِم ْن ِعبَا ِد ٖ ٰٓه‬َ ٖ ِ ْ ِ ِ ْ ُّ ِ ِٕ ‫• يُن َِز ُل ْال َم‬
‫ه‬ ‫ر‬ ‫م‬َ ‫ا‬ ْ
‫ن‬ ‫م‬ ‫ح‬ ‫و‬ ‫الر‬ ‫ب‬ َ ‫ة‬ َ
‫ك‬ ‫ى‬‫ل‬
[16:2] ‫ْل اَنَا فَاتَّقُ ْو ِن‬ ٰٓ َّ ِ‫ْل اِ ٰلهَ ا‬
ٰٓ َ ‫ا َ ْن ا َ ْن ِذ ُر ْٰٓوا اَنَّ ٗه‬
• He sends down the angels at His behest with the spirit, (that is, the revelation),
upon whom He wills from among His servants
 Belief in ANGELS ‫مًلئکہ‬

• Their angelic abilities.

• They had come in the form of man to the world
‫س ِويًّا‬ ‫ا‬ ‫ر‬‫ش‬َ
َ ۢ َ َ ‫ب‬ ‫ا‬‫ھ‬َ ‫ل‬ ‫ل‬
َ َّ ‫ث‬ ‫م‬
َ َ ‫ت‬َ ‫ف‬ ‫ا‬َ ‫ن‬ ‫ح‬ ‫و‬ ‫ر‬
َ ُْ َ‫ا‬‫ھ‬ ‫ي‬
ْ َ ‫ل‬ ِ ‫ا‬ ٰٓ ‫ا‬َ ‫ن‬ ْ
‫ل‬ َ ‫• فَا َ ْر‬
‫س‬
[Maryam :17]
• We sent to her Our Spirit, (Jibra‘il) and he took before her
the form of a perfect human being.
 Belief in ANGELS ‫مًلئکہ‬

• Polytheist associated
• The seen [celestial bodies]
• And the unseen [angles, jinn]
to ALMIGHTY ALLAH.
ٰۗ
َ‫س ُّم ْو َن ْال َم ٰل ِٕى َكةَ ت َ ْس ِميَة‬ ٰ ْ ‫• اِ َّن الَّ ِذي َْن َْل يُؤْ ِمنُ ْو َن ِب‬
َ ُ‫اْل ِخ َر ِة لَي‬
ٰ ْ
53:27‫اْل ُ ْنثى‬

• Those who do not believe in the Hereafter call the angels by names of
females.
 Belief in ANGELS ‫مًلئکہ‬

‫کتب‬
ALLAH sent code of conduct to
each nation. The Holy Quran
being the final and universal
code.

َ ‫َوا َ ْنزَ ْلنَا َمعَ ُه َُم َْال ِك ٰت‬

َ‫ب‬
ََ َ‫َو ْال ِميْز‬
َُ َّ‫ان ِليَقُ َْو ََم الن‬
‫اس‬
57:25 ‫ط‬ َِ ‫ِب ْال ِق ْس‬
 Belief in DIVINE BOOKS ‫کتب‬

َ‫ل اِ ٰلى اِبْرَٰھ ََم َواِ ْس ٰم ِع ْي َل‬

ََ ‫ل اَِلَ ْينَا َو َماَ ا ُ ْن ِز‬ َٰ ‫• قُ ْولُ ْوا ٰا َمنَّا ِب‬
ََ ‫اّللِ َو َماَ ا ُ ْن ِز‬
ََ ِ‫ي ُم ْو ٰسى َو ِعي ْٰسى ََو َماَ ا ُ ْوت‬
‫ي‬ ََ ِ‫اط َو َماَ ا ُ ْوت‬ َِ َ‫ب َو ْالَ ْسب‬ ََ ‫َواِ ْس ٰحقََ َويَ ْعقُ ْو‬
ََ ‫ن لَهَ ُم ْس ِل ُم ْو‬
‫ن‬ َْ ‫ْن ا َ َحدَ ِم ْن ُه َْم ڮ َون‬
َُ ‫َح‬ َُ ‫ل نُفَ ِر‬
ََ ‫ق بَي‬ َ َ َۭ ‫ن َّر ِب ِه َْم‬ َْ ‫ن ِم‬ََ ‫النَّ ِبي ْو‬
2:136
• Say (O, Muslims) : :We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us,
and in what has been revealed to Ibrahim, Ismai'l (Ishmael) , IsHaq (Isaac) ,
Ya'qub and his children, and in what has been given to Musa and lsa, (Jesus)
and what has been given to the prophets from their Lord: We make no
difference between any of them, and to Him we submit ourselves.
 Belief in DIVINE BOOKS ‫کتب‬

‫ص ِدقۢا ِل َما بَي َْن يَ َد ْي ِه َوا َ ْنزَ َل‬ ‫م‬ ‫ق‬ ‫ح‬ ْ
‫ال‬‫ب‬
َ ُ ِ َ ِ َ ‫ب‬ ٰ
‫ت‬ ‫ك‬
ِ ْ
‫ال‬ َ ‫• ن ََّز َل‬
‫علَي َْك‬
ِ ْ ‫الت َّ ْو ٰرىةَ َو‬
3:3 ‫اْل ْن ِج ْي َل‬
• He has revealed to you the Book with the truth, confirming what
has been before it, and has sent down the Torah and the Injil.
 Belief in DIVINE BOOKS ‫کتب‬

17:55 ‫• َّو ٰات َ ْينَا َد ٗاو َد زَ بُ ْو ۢرا‬

• and We gave Dawud the Zabur (the Psalms).

23:49 ‫ب لَعَلَّ ُھ ْم يَ ْھتَد ُْو َن‬ َ ‫• َولَقَ ْد ٰات َ ْينَا ُم ْو‬

َ ‫سى ْال ِك ٰت‬
• And, of course, We gave Musa the Book, so that they may take the right path.

87:19 ‫ف اِب ْٰر ِهي َْم َو ُم ْو ٰسى‬ ُ •

ِ ‫ص ُح‬
• the scripts of Ibrahim and Musa.

Comparison with other Divine books
 Quran ‫القرآن‬

• Book for all mankind. (universality)

ِ َّ‫ص َّر ْفــنَا فِ ْي ٰهذَا ْالقُ ْر ٰا ِن ِللن‬
َ ‫اس ِم ْن ُك ِل َمثَل ۭ َو َك‬
‫ان‬ َ ‫ولَقَ ْد‬ •
18:54 ‫ش ْيء َج َد ْۢل‬ َ ‫ان ا َ ْكث َ َر‬
ُ ‫س‬ ِْ
َ ‫اْل ْن‬
• Indeed We have explained in this Qur‘an every subject in various ways for
the benefit of the people, but out of all creation, man is most disputing.
 Quran ‫القرآن‬

• Protection:-
15:9 ‫ُ ْو َن‬ ِ ‫• اِنَّا ن َْح ُن ن ََّز ْلنَا‬
ُ ‫الذ ْك َر َواِنَّا لَ ٗه لَ ٰح ِف‬
• We, Ourselves, have sent down the Dhikr (the Qur‘an), and We are there
to protect it.
 Quran ‫القرآن‬
• The text is preserved
• Consists of ALLAH’S words.
• Its preservation can be proved historically.
• The language is pure and live.
• Unreal facts are added to the other books.
