Templates:

Several later versions of Word include the

ability for users to create their own

define a file in which the title, heading,
paragraph, and other element designs
that are unique from the standard Word
templates.
Quick styles:

In MS Word styles are reusable sets of

formatting options to text. For example,
suppose you want the headings in your
document to appear in bold and in a
particular color and font size. Although
you can manually set each formatting
option individually for each header, it is
much easier to use a style that applies
all of these options at once
Smart Art:
A SmartArt graphics is a visual
representation of information and
ideas, and a chart is a visual
illustration of numeric values or
data. Basically, SmartArt graphics
are designed for text and charts
are designed for numbers.
Tables and Columns:

A table is a grid of rows and columns

that intersect to form the cells. The lines
that mark the cell boundaries are called
gridlines. Its often easier to read or
present information in table format than
in paragraph format. Using Word’s table
feature, you can create a table and
insert text, picture, or another table into
the table’s cells.
Customize Tabs:

Customize Tabs are a paragraphs

formatting feature to align text. When
you press the Tab key, Word inserts a
tab character and moves the insertion
point to the tab setting, called the tab
stop. You can set custom tabs or use
Word’s default tab settings.
Backstage View:

The Backstage view in Word is the

“behind the scenes” view of
commands you can use to do file –
related tasks. Such as saving,
opening, or printing a document you
access the Backstage View by
selecting the FILE tab on the ribbon.
