Comprehensive Framework:

The key input element is an idea representing a recognized opportunity. The idea is
subsequently transformed into a product concept and later a product definition. I/C
development consists of two interrelated sub activities i.e. I/C Screening and I/C
Refinement. I/C development is the core of the framework and is complemented by I/C
Alignment (internal/external) and I/C Legitimization. The Legitimization part
acknowledges the socio-political dimension and need for creating organizational
commitment
Problem Analysis:
New product development targeting B2C segment using sheet metal design and
operation. The new product should be less complex and easy to use by the end
consumer. At the same time, the rate of diffusion should be high which can capture
large market share and help to increase the bottom line of the company.
