Options for Displaying PDF Files
The Teradata Factory course materials are created in a left page – right page format.
• Left page – contains additional information about the slide page
• Right page – copy of the PPT slide that is used during the presentation
To display PDF files in a book type (left page – right page) format, Adobe Reader options need to be set.

In earlier versions of Adobe Reader, the


options may be named:
• Two-Up Continuous
• Show Gaps Between Pages
• Show Cover Page During Two-Up

After setting the Page Display options, the PDF file is displayed as below.

This PDF file has been created to allow the use of comment and markup tools.
PDF Comment and Markup Tools
Comment and markup tools that may be useful include:
• Sticky Note Sticky Note
• Highlight Text Tool
• Add Text Comment Highlight Text Tool

In earlier versions of Adobe Reader, the options


may be in the Tools Menu and are named:
• Comment & Markup > Sticky Note
• Comment & Markup > Highlight Text Tool
• Typewriter

The Add Text Comment tool can be used to add text at any location in the PDF file.

to changes fonts, colors, etc.

You may want to set your preferences so you can open


your PDF documents at the last page that was viewed
before closing the document.

The primary focus of this ten day course is to teach you about the design,
implementation, and administration of the Teradata Database.

The major topics in this course include:


• Teradata Database features and functions
• The parallelism of the Teradata Database
• How Teradata is implemented on MPP systems (e.g., 6750 systems)
• How to perform physical database design for Teradata Database
• Teradata SQL ANSI Differences
• How to load and export data using Teradata Parallel Transporter (TPT) operators
• How to perform common administrative functions for the Teradata Database
